TopstepX trading journal
Journal your TopstepX trades without exporting a single file.
Toreda connects to TopstepX with your username and an API key, then imports your futures trades into your journal. You can keep every TopstepX account in one place and review them alongside your other brokers.
TopstepX runs on the ProjectX platform, so the connection works the same way as for other ProjectX firms. The full explanation of the shared API-key setup is on the ProjectX page.
What gets imported
- Completed round-trip futures trades with entry, exit, side and size.
- Fees for each trade.
- The contract with its tick size and tick value, where Toreda recognises it.
- Account balance, refreshed on each sync.
Getting your TopstepX API key
Generate the key in TopstepX's API access settings. In Toreda's connect form, the "How to get your API key" link opens TopstepX's own help article for it.
How syncing works
Press Sync on a TopstepX account, or use the sync icon in the top bar to sync all your connected broker accounts. Each sync looks back 90 days and skips trades Toreda already has, so you can run it as often as you like.
Combine and funded accounts
After import, set each account's stage and prop firm. Toreda tracks the outcome and payouts per account, so evaluations and funded accounts stay separate in your reports.
TopstepX also lets you export a trades CSV. If you would rather not use the API key, Toreda's CSV import accepts a TopStep export. The API connection saves you exporting a file each time.
