How Toreda scores your trades
Grade how you traded, not just what you made, and watch your process improve.
Toreda scores each trade from 0 to 100 based on how you traded it. You answer 12 short multiple-choice questions across five categories, Toreda weights them, then subtracts penalties for mistakes such as a revenge trade or a moved stop. A losing trade you executed well can score high, and a winner you broke your rules on can score low.
The five categories
- Setup Quality (25%): did the trade match your setup criteria, were your timeframes aligned, and was your entry at a good location?
- Execution Quality (25%): how well you executed the entry and the exit, and whether your position size was right.
- Risk Management (20%): whether you respected your stop loss and stayed within your max risk per trade.
- Emotional Control (15%): your emotional state during the trade, and whether you avoided impulsive decisions.
- Process Compliance (15%): whether the trade was planned in advance and whether you followed your pre-trade checklist.
Each answer is worth between 0 and 100. Your category scores are the average of their answers, and the trade score is the weighted total.
Penalties for the mistakes that hurt most
Some mistakes cost more than a low answer. Mark them and Toreda subtracts points from the trade score, down to a floor of 0.
- Revenge trade: 15 points.
- Moved stop emotionally: 10 points.
- Oversized position: 10 points.
- Unplanned trade: 8 points.
Toreda flags trades entered soon after a loss as possible revenge trades and pre-checks the revenge penalty when you score them, so you decide with the evidence in front of you.
Your daily score
The Journal adds two short check-ins to each day. The start-of-day check-in asks about your market preparation, trade plan, mental readiness and trading setup. The end-of-day check-in asks how well you stuck to your plan, how self-aware you were, whether you captured lessons and how well you documented the day.
Your daily score is 70% your average trade score, 10% your start-of-day check-in and 20% your end-of-day check-in. Breaking your max daily loss costs 20 points, and a missing journal entry costs 5.
Scoring is fast
- Score a trade from your Trades page in a few clicks: pick an answer for each question and tick any penalties.
- Attach a playbook and tick its checklist as you score.

- Toreda keeps you caught up: the Journal shows how many trades you have left to score with a Score Now button, the calendar marks days with unscored trades, and an optional reminder nudges you to score a trade about an hour after it comes in.
See your process improve
Your main dashboard shows a Performance Score, the average of your trade scores across all your accounts for the date range you pick, rated Great (80 and up), Average (50 to 79) or Needs work. The Journal dashboard goes deeper: your day streak, a category breakdown chart, a score trend, a score heatmap, a score distribution and a penalties summary.
Your scores feed the AI too. Eda and the AI Coach read them, so their feedback separates good process from good luck, and the AI Daily Recap grades each day from A to F.
Frequently asked questions
- How is a trade score calculated?
- You answer 12 multiple-choice questions, each worth 0 to 100. Category scores are the average of their answers, weighted Setup Quality 25%, Execution Quality 25%, Risk Management 20%, Emotional Control 15% and Process Compliance 15%. Penalties are then subtracted, down to a floor of 0.
- Why score trades instead of just tracking P&L?
- P&L mixes skill and luck. A score measures the part you control, how well you followed your process, so you can tell a good loss from a lucky win.
- What counts as a penalty?
- A revenge trade (15 points), moving your stop emotionally (10), an oversized position (10) or an unplanned trade (8). At the day level, breaking your max daily loss costs 20 points and a missing journal entry costs 5.
- How long does it take to score a trade?
- A few clicks. Every question is multiple choice, and Bulk Score lets you score a batch of similar trades at once.
- Does a higher score mean I will make more money?
- No. A score measures how closely you followed your own process. It does not guarantee any result.
